What’s on Offer?

  • Are you currently pregnant and struggling with anxiety, low mood, obsessive thoughts or traumatic flashbacks?

As an experienced Perinatal Clinical Psychologist. I am here to support you through your journey of pregnancy and worries around birth, and help to build your confidence moving into postpartum life.

    Sessions starting from £100.

  • Whilst birth is notoriously unpredictable, there are some ways in which you can feel more in control during the process. Feeling more in control of yourself and your body is known to decrease anxiety, create resilience against trauma and stress, and help us adjust to big transitions.

Utilising my knowledge from working within Perinatal NHS settings, I am able to help you think about how you feel moving towards birth, the kind of birth you wish to have, and what is important for you to feel confident and empowered.

I am not able to guarantee any particular interventions due to the complexity and safeguards surrounding birth; however, I am able to help you think about coping mechanisms for pain and stress, how you wish to be communicated with, and how to advocate for yourself and set boundaries.

    Sessions starting from £110.

  • Have you experienced a difficult or traumatic birth?

Birth can be unpredictable and leave us with pain, flashbacks, guilt or grief of what we thought would happen. Attempting to process this alongside adjusting to newborn life and postpartum changes can feel like an uphill battle.

As someone who specialises in both trauma and the perinatal period, I am passionate about helping people to process their experiences of birth, to feel happier, empowered and safe in their own bodies again.

    Sessions starting from £100.

  • Have you recently given birth and are struggling with heightened levels of anxiety, obsessive thoughts, low mood or flashbacks?

Have you experienced a traumatic birth, infant loss or previous miscarriage that is impacting you day-to-day?

Are you struggling to be in the present moment with your baby or feel you can spend time bonding with them?

The perinatal period can be a challenging time filled with lots of mixed emotions. It is one of the biggest transitions we can go through as individuals, paired along with hormonal fluctuations, financial worries, relational shifts and deprivation of our basic needs such as sleep, nutrition and sensory regulation. This period can be a complex mix of trying to access our old selves, whilst also negotiating a whole new identity and balancing the needs of your child(ren).

As an experienced perinatal practitioner, I am here to support you on your postpartum journey and explore any blocks, patterns or dynamics leading to your distress.

    Sessions starting from £100.

  • As part of my experience working with trauma, attachment and families, I can offer support for young people who are struggling with trauma re-experiencing, difficulties emotionally regulating and/or feeling safe, and difficulties interacting with others.

As I am a firm believer in working with the systems around the child as well as hearing their side of the story, I offer different options for families to find what suits them best. Depending on the age and concern of the young person, I offer either:

    • Joint family sessions to discuss challenges, different perspectives and the interplay of dynamics

    • Formulation sessions with parents/caregivers to help them to understand what is going on for the young person in their lives and how best to support them to feel safe, secure and comfortable.

If you feel that the young person in your lives is in need of support with recovery from trauma, has difficulties emotionally regulating or has difficulties trusting and feeling safe around others, I may be able to help.

    Sessions starting from £100.

  • “Trauma is not just an event that took place sometime in the past; it is also the imprint left by that experience on mind, brain and body."

    Bessel Van der Kolk

  • “We don’t heal in isolation, but in community"

    S. Kelley Harrell

  • “After a traumatic experience, the human system of self-preservation seems to go onto permanent alert, as if the danger might return at any moment.”

    Judith Herman
